Understanding Diabetes: Early environmental determinants of pancreatic islet autoimmunity: a pregnancy to early life cohort study in children at risk of type 1 diabetes

This study is looking for the causes of type 1 diabetes, so that we can find ways to prevent it. We will follow many women around Australia during pregnancy until early childhood, looking at the child's birth, environment and genes.

Exercising Safely with Type 1 Diabetes – Development of Clinical Guidelines

Our research focuses on what are the best ways for patients with Type 1 Diabetes to exercise safely. We aim to develop clinical guidelines that provide improved advice for patients and educate patients on how to prevent hypos during and after exercise.

Use of Hybrid Closed Loop therapy in hypoglycaemia awareness

This study will tell us if the use of a hybrid closed loop system can improve awareness of hypoglycaemia.

National Hybrid Closed-Loop Outpatient Trial

The national Hybrid Closed-Loop Outpatient Trial will test the use of an automated insulin delivery system to see if it is better at optimising blood glucose levels than standard therapy.
